How to share your idea

Tell us what you do and what you have in mind. A short message in your own words is enough. We will help work through the details and suggest the next step.

A place to start

Both examples are fictional and show what a first message might look like.

A website for a furniture workshop

We run a small furniture workshop, making tables and cabinets to order. We currently show our work on social media, but the photographs get lost and customers struggle to find relevant examples.

We would like a website where people can take a closer look at the furniture, learn about the materials and contact us. We already have a name and photographs. Ideally, we would launch by spring. We are still discussing the budget and would like to understand the options.

An identity for a new business

I am opening a small bakery. I have a name, and now need a logo, signage and packaging that work well together. I like muted colours and simple lettering, and have a few examples. I would like to understand where to start and what can be ready for the opening.

What to tell us

  • What do you do? What do you offer, and who usually comes to you? A couple of sentences about your business are enough.
  • What would you like to do? For example, update a website, create an identity for a new business or make a catalogue easier to use. What should become clearer or simpler for your customers?
  • What do you have, and what do you like? You can include a link to your current website, photographs or design references. Tell us what appeals to you about them.
  • Is there a deadline? Give us an important date or an approximate timeframe. If you have not decided yet, just say so.
  • Do you have a budget in mind? An approximate figure is fine, or simply say, “I do not know yet; I would like to understand the cost.”

A message template

Copy these lines into an email and add what you already know. We can discuss the rest together.

What happens next

We read your message, ask follow-up questions and prepare a clear plan: what we will do, how much it will cost and when it will be ready. We agree it with you before starting. You will know what you will receive and what we need from you.

What an agreed plan might include

For the workshop in our example, the plan might include pages showing its work, an introduction to the workshop and contact details. It lists the photographs and written content needed, the stages for reviewing and checking the website, and the files and instructions to hand over. It also records the agreed cost and schedule.
